Website and pages

What a project's website is for

Each project can have one website — a home page and any number of further pages that share a common navigation (header) and footer. The AI builds the website from your brief; you then edit it in the Studio editor.

A standalone landing page is today a one-page website in a project. The separate My Websites and Landing Pages screens are no longer in the menu.

Where to find the website and its pages

  1. In the left menu, click Content → Projects.
  2. Click the project card. The Studio opens.
  3. In the narrow icon strip on the left, choose the folder icon (Content).
  4. The first section of the content panel is Pages. The home page has a house icon.
  5. Click a page — it opens in the editor (chat on the left, preview on the right).

The icon strip is only there in a wide window (1200 px and up). In a narrower window, click Expand menu in the top bar — the content panel opens as a side panel, with SEO and Settings under the Project heading. You can also switch pages with the switcher in the middle of the top bar.

If the website has no pages yet, the section shows No pages yet. While the first generation runs, it shows a Home page row instead — click it to return to the generation progress.

How to generate a website

Before you start

  • A project must exist.
  • You need the permission Projects → Edit in the permission matrix.
  • Prepare your materials: a logo, photos, a price list or a brand manual (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and, if you like, the address of a website whose look you like.
  • If the website should collect contacts or sell, you can prepare a form and products beforehand; they can also be added later.
  • No credits are charged for generating the website or for chat edits; only AI image editing is paid.

Steps

  1. Open the project. An empty project shows What are we building in “…”? — click the Website card. (In a project that already has a funnel or form, click + next to the Pages heading in the content panel.)
  2. What site are we building? appears.
  3. Write in your own words what the website is, who it is for, which pages it should have and what character it should have, for example A site for a coffee house in the old town — breakfast, our own roastery, a quiet courtyard. Warm, calm design.
  4. Optionally add materials and settings below the field (see the table).
  5. Click Build it.

What happens during generation

  • The canvas shows Building your website and a progress window (Initializing..., Reading page content, Editing page content, … Polishing & checking the page…).
  • Generation takes a few minutes. You can close the window — the website finishes on the server. When you come back you see Reconnecting to active generation...
  • You can stop it with the Stop button in the chat. You see Generation stopped; whatever the AI managed stays.
  • If generation fails, the chat shows Generation failed, please try again.

How to check that it works

  1. When it finishes, the website's pages appear in the Pages section and the home page in the preview.
  2. In the top bar, click the Open in a new tab icon. You see the website with the bar Preview — this is not published yet, only you can see it.
  3. The website is not public yet. Make it public as described in Publishing.

How to add a page to the website

A new page is requested in the chat — the AI works out its name and address from the description and adds it to the navigation.

  1. In the content panel, click + next to the Pages heading (tooltip New page).
  2. The window Ask for a new page in the chat opens.
  3. Click one of the examples (e.g. Create a Contact page with a map, opening hours and a form.) — it is put into the chat. Or close the window and write your own sentence.
  4. Adjust the sentence in the chat and send it.

When it finishes, the page appears in the Pages section and in the website navigation. If the website is not published yet, visitors see the page only after publishing; on a published website at once.

How to change a page's name, address and SEO

  1. In the Pages section, click the page.
  2. In the tabs above the chat, switch from Builder to Settings. (On a phone, switch the Builder / Settings / Preview surface switcher to Settings.)
  3. Edit the fields in the cards.
  4. Click Save at the bottom (enabled only after a change). You see Saved.

Shared SEO, the favicon and tracking codes for the whole website are set in Project settings and SEO.

How to change which page is the home page

In the project's Settings (the gear in the icon strip) → Home page card → in the Opens field choose a page or a funnel. See Project settings and SEO.

The navigation (header) and footer are shared by all pages of the website — a change shows on every page at once. There is no separate form for them; they are edited directly in the editor:

  • Text (e.g. a menu item name, the contact in the footer): in the preview, switch on Edit text and overwrite it — see Studio editor.
  • Where an item or button leads: hover over the item, click Edit and change the target in the Edit button panel.
  • Anything else (add an item, change the layout, the logo): write it in the chat, for example Add a link to the Pricing page to the menu and make the logo bigger.

How to change the colours, fonts and design of the website

There is no separate form for the website's colours and fonts. You change the look in these ways:

  • In the chat (the main way). Write a sentence about the look of the whole website, for example Change the design of the whole website — make it darker and more elegant. The AI recognises that you mean the whole site, designs a new palette, fonts, navigation and footer, and then reworks every page. The texts stay. It takes a few minutes.
  • A vague sentence changes only one page. If the sentence does not make clear that you mean the whole website (e.g. change the heading colour), the AI edits only the open page. To change the whole website, say so explicitly.
  • With a block selected, the whole site is not reworked. When a block is selected in the preview, the change applies to that block only. Clear the selection before restyling the site.
  • The Look chip in the website brief (see How to generate a website) applies to the first generation only. On a finished website, change the style in the chat.
  • The toolbar in Edit text mode. In the preview, turn on Edit text and select some text. The toolbar offers Text colour (the website's colours and Custom colour, which adds a new colour to the website's palette), Heading font, Body font, Larger text, Smaller text, bold, italic and Strikethrough. Only the selected text changes.
  • Code editor (advanced). In the mode switcher in the top bar, choose Code editor. The site.json file (pages, navigation, colours) holds the website's colours and fonts; in design.css (your own CSS — overrides the generated sheet) you can add your own CSS.

You see the change in the preview straight away. On a published website visitors see it at once, otherwise after you publish.

How to delete a website page

A page is deleted through the chat so that the AI first redirects or removes the links to it from the navigation, footer and sections.

  1. In the Pages section, click the page.
  2. Switch to the Settings tab.
  3. At the bottom, click the red Delete.
  4. The window Delete the “…” page in the chat opens. Click one of the sentences, for example Delete the “…” page and point every link to it at “…”.
  5. The sentence is put into the chat. Adjust it and send it.

The Delete button is not shown for the home page or when the website has a single page. Without the permission Projects → Edit you do not see it at all.

If you open a deleted page from an old link, you see This page no longer exists and a Back button.

Where to find the website's images

  1. In the Studio top bar, click the Media icon in the mode switch.
  2. The site's media appears — all images the website uses.
  3. Hover over an image and click ⋮ at its top right → Use in the chat. The sentence Use the image asset:… is put into the chat and you add where it should go. Clicking the image itself opens it in a new tab.

Media can only be opened on a computer; a phone has no mode switcher.

Media cannot be uploaded or deleted here. Attach a new image in the chat (+ → Attach image) — once used, it appears in media.

Common questions and problems with the website

"Give it a sentence — two words is not enough to build from." The brief is shorter than 8 characters.

"The page was created, but the attachments failed to upload — attach them in the chat." The documents from the Attach documents window were not uploaded. They upload as soon as you confirm, before Build it — so no generation has started. Try attaching them again.

The AI ignored my PDF document. The document is larger than 5 MB — the AI reads only smaller ones. The page can still link to it.

"That does not look like a site address". For the reference site, enter the full address, for example https://example.com.

"The website could not be loaded". Click Try again.

I changed the footer text on one page and it changed everywhere. The footer and the navigation are shared by the whole website.

I do not see the Delete button at a page. It is the home page or the only page of the website, or you do not have the permission Projects → Edit.

Two of us edit the website at the same time. The Studio does not lock the project for one person. While one person's AI change runs, the other joins it; start another change only after it finishes, otherwise you see Generation failed, please try again.
