Source detail
What it is for
Source detail is a window where you check the state of a knowledge source and what the system actually read from it: the source content, the transcript of a recording, images and charts, the agent knowledge, the AI analysis of the content and the processing history. Here you also verify the source with test questions and confirm that the content matches the original.
None of this is mandatory. Assistants use a Ready source even without verification or analysis. Verification and analysis are there so you can be sure the assistant answers from the right content.
Where to find it
- In the left menu, click AI → Knowledge.
- Click the name of the knowledge.
- Under Sources, click the source card.
A window with the source name opens. Close it with the cross in its header.
What I see at the top of the source detail
The header of the Source detail window contains the source name, the Actions menu and a cross to close it. The Actions menu contains Edit source, Download, Advanced analysis, Approve, Process again and Delete (each item only when it can be used for the source and your rights). Edit source changes the title, material role and description, as described in the chapter Knowledge.
Below the header are the tabs Overview, Analysis, Source content, Images and History. The Advanced analysis tab appears only once you choose Advanced analysis in the Actions menu. While the source is processing, the tabs other than Overview show the processing progress, e.g. Building the knowledge index · 60%, and possibly a red Processing error message. The window always shows the newest revision of the source; open an older one on the History tab.
What is on the Overview tab
The Overview tab shows whether the source is ready for assistants. It refreshes by itself and contains:
- a coloured message about the state: Everything is ready, Processing in progress, Source needs reindexing or Source needs approval, with a short explanation,
- two rows, Source content and Agent knowledge, each with a result (Ready, Processing, Not prepared yet, Knowledge is not ready, Processing failed, Incomplete, Awaiting approval),
- the Reindex source button (with the edit right and only when reindexing is needed) — starts new processing of the source and uses AI credits; repeated clicks while it is being queued are ignored,
- the Open source review button when the source awaits approval — opens the Advanced analysis tab; you can approve the source with Actions → Approve.
If readiness cannot be determined, Readiness cannot be verified right now. Try again. appears with a Retry button.
What is on the Analysis tab
The Analysis tab shows Agent knowledge — items that help the agent find the right passage. The agent builds its answer from the original source text. You can filter the items by kind (All, Summaries, Topics, Concepts, Procedures, Questions, Limitations) and expand an item to inspect its evidence. The tab is available once the source has a processed revision.
What is on the Source content tab
The Source content tab contains:
- the What this source is about block with a summary; the summary is always in Czech. Show the more detailed points with More about this source and hide them with Show less,
- Player — for uploaded audio and video the Listen to the original recording button, which loads the player; for a Membership video the video player (only with the right to view Courses and content),
- for videos the notice Only text or audio is processed. Video images, charts and screen demonstrations have not been analysed.,
- for documents with visual reading, a message on how many pages AI read visually, e.g. Visually read pages: 4. Findings from charts and images are included in the passages…,
- the passages of the source — see below.
How to check the content of a source
The Source content tab shows the text exactly as the system split it into passages — the assistant answers from these passages.
- Open the source detail (AI → Knowledge → the knowledge → the source card).
- Click the Source content tab.
- Go through the passages. Above them is Revision {number} · Passages: {count}. Passages are shown 20 per page; switch pages with the pagination at the bottom.
For individual passages you may see:
- The passage heading, if the document had one.
- Page {number} — for PDF, DOCX and PPTX with the Show page button, which opens Original page {number} with the original page next to the Extracted passage. The window has Previous page, Next page, Fit width and Zoom in. Opening the preview does not run AI analysis.
- Time range (e.g. 1:20 – 2:05) for recordings — clicking it moves the player above the passages to that point (for an uploaded file, first click Listen to the original recording). In a transcript timed per line, you can click individual lines.
If the text does not match the original, do not approve the source and fix the original (see the chapter Knowledge).
How to check images and charts
The Images tab (headed Images and charts) of the source detail shows the document pages from which AI visually read images, charts, diagrams and tables. Text-only pages and decorations are excluded. A page description you confirm is used by the assistant when searching an active source.
- Open the source detail and click the Images tab.
- At the top you see Reviewed {x} of {y} · Uncertain {z}. Use the filter to pick All, To review, Uncertain or Reviewed.
- On a page, click Open and review. The page preview opens with the Page description.
- Compare the description with the original.
- If the description is right, click Confirm review.
- If it is wrong, click Edit description, fix the text (required, max. 20,000 characters) and click Save changes. Then confirm the description again with Confirm review.
Page statuses: To review, Uncertain (AI was not sure), Edited – to review and Reviewed. The original AI description is in the expandable section Original AI description.
The assistant uses an edited description only after you confirm it. Saving changes withdraws the page's previous confirmation. You can review pages when the source is Ready or Needs review. If the revision is not active yet, you see This source revision is not active yet. Reviewing one page does not activate the whole source.
How to verify a source with test questions
The Source verification block on the Advanced analysis tab lets you confirm that the system finds the right answers in the source and that the content matches the original. The block's buttons are hidden until you click Details (hide them again with Hide details).
Before you start: you need the right to edit knowledge. The source must be processed (Ready or Needs review) and must not be processing right now. The test uses AI credits.
- Open the source detail and choose Advanced analysis in the Actions menu.
- In the Source verification block, click Details and then Test questions. The Test questions dialog opens with questions suggested by AI. The dialog shows as many questions as AI suggested (at least 3); questions cannot be added or removed in it. If a test already ran, it shows the last saved questions.
- For each question (Question 1, Question 2…) check and, if needed, edit the fields (table below).
- Tick I compared the answers and quotations with the original source.
- Click Save and test.
| Field | Required | Meaning | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Question | yes | a question the source answers | 10 – 500 characters |
| Answer passage | yes | the source passage containing the answer | picked from the list of passages |
| Exact quotation from the passage | yes | the exact text from the passage | 12 – 800 characters |
| Expected correct answer | yes | what the correct answer should say | 10 – 1,500 characters |
You need 3 to 5 distinct questions. During the test you see Testing questions… with progress. After the test, Question test: {x} of {y} passed. appears. Click Details to see for each question Passed or Review needed, the system's answer and the checks Passage retrieved, Citation matches, Matches expected answer and Supported by the source. Click a citation to jump to that passage on the Source content tab.
Details also contains the automatic check Places to review: {count} — e.g. a long stretch without transcript, a repeated sentence or missing timing. For recordings, Go to recording plays that point.
Verification statuses:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Waiting for processing | the source is not processed yet |
| Automatically processed | the source passed the automatic check, nobody has confirmed it |
| Needs review | the automatic check found suspicious places |
| Content verified by a person | a user confirmed the content review |
How to confirm the content review of a source
Before you start: all test questions (at least 3) must pass. Until they do, Confirm content review is not shown.
- Open the source detail and go to the Advanced analysis tab.
- In the Source verification block, click Details and then Confirm content review.
- In the Confirm content review dialog, describe the scope of your review in Review note and explain any timing gaps. The note is required, 10 – 1,000 characters.
- Click Save.
Verification gets the status Content verified by a person and the block shows Reviewed by user #{id} with the date and note. A successful AI test does not itself verify the content — confirming means you compared the content with the original.
You withdraw the verification in the same block: click Withdraw verification, fill in Review note in the Withdraw verification dialog (required, 10 – 1,000 characters) and click Save. The original content and test results stay intact. If the note is shorter, Enter a specific answer or confirm your review. appears.
How to run an AI analysis of the content
The Advanced analysis tab of the source detail creates an AI interpretation of the source: Summary, Topics, Concepts, Procedures in the source, Questions the source can answer and AI notes on source scope — each finding with a quote from the original text. The tab appears once you choose Advanced analysis in the Actions menu (or click Open source review).
Before you start: you need the right to edit knowledge. The source must be processed; otherwise the button is disabled and you see Analysis becomes available once this source revision is prepared. The analysis consumes AI credits.
- Open the source detail, choose Advanced analysis in the Actions menu and stay on the Advanced analysis tab.
- Click Analyze content.
- Wait. You see Content analysis is running. You can close this page. For a longer source you see Completed parts: {x} of {y}.
A longer source is analysed in parts (at most 10 parts of 60,000 characters and 100 passages). The result contains a summary of each part and a balanced selection of up to 30 findings, not a full list of topics. If the analysis fails, the button changes to Retry analysis; saved parts are reused.
Each finding has an Open original passage button that opens the passage on the Source content tab. The original output is shown under Original AI analysis (unchanged).
WARNING
The analysis is an AI interpretation, not an approved methodology. An omitted category does not prove a topic is absent from the source. The analysis does not change an assistant by itself.
How to review and approve the AI analysis
The Human review block on the Advanced analysis tab is for correcting and approving findings. Only approved findings with support in their citations supplement the building of new assistants; existing assistants do not change automatically.
Before you start: the analysis must be complete and you need the right to edit knowledge.
- On the Advanced analysis tab, in the Human review block, click Review and edit.
- For each finding, compare the Original AI suggestion with the quote below it.
- If needed, correct the text in Reviewed interpretation (required, max. 1,500 characters).
- Exclude a wrong finding by unticking Include this finding.
- At the bottom, choose Save draft or Save and approve.
- With Save and approve, tick I checked all included findings against the original source and approve their wording.
- Confirm with the button at the bottom of the dialog (Save draft or Save and approve).
Approval requires at least one included Summary. Saving a draft withdraws the previous approval.
Review status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not reviewed — original AI output only. | nobody has reviewed the analysis |
| Draft | Draft review — not approved for the builder. |
| Approved | Approved by a user — not a guarantee of factual accuracy. |
Review history shows saved versions of the review; open an older one by clicking it and return with Show current. Viewing history does not change the current approval.
How to check support for findings in citations
The Support for findings in citations block on the Advanced analysis tab (above the Human review block) lets AI assess whether the citations really support the findings. Without a saved review it assesses the original AI output; after a review is saved it assesses the included findings of the saved version. After changing the text or the selection of findings, this check is needed for the findings to supplement assistant building. You can run it with the right to edit knowledge bases.
- If you edited findings, first save the review in the Human review block (see How to review and approve the AI analysis).
- In the Support for findings in citations block, click Check support for findings.
- Wait for the result (AI is comparing the findings with their original citations…).
Each finding then shows Supported by citations, Contradicted by citations or Insufficient evidence. If the check fails, use Retry support check. AI assesses only the cited excerpts, not the truth of the entire source.
How to open an older revision of a source
The History tab of the source detail shows all revisions of the source and the processing attempts.
- Open the source detail and click the History tab.
- For each revision you see its status, the Active label (assistants use this revision), the date and, for recordings, the Transcription used. The revision status is shown here as a technical code, e.g.
READY,NEEDS_REVIEWorFAILED. - Click Revision {number} — the window switches to the Source content tab of that revision.
Below the revisions is a list of processing runs with the stage and the number of Attempts. You create a new revision with Process again in the Actions menu (or the Reindex source button on the Overview tab).

Frequent questions and problems
Why don't I see Test questions or Analyze content? You do not have the right to edit knowledge, or the source is not processed yet.
Why don't I see Confirm content review? The button appears only after all test questions (at least 3) passed in the latest test. If the test result changed in the meantime, saving shows All question checks must pass before human content verification. — run the test again.
What does "Review 3–5 distinct questions and answers with exact quotations from this revision." mean? There are fewer than 3 or more than 5 questions, they repeat, or the quotation is not word for word in the selected passage. Copy the quotation straight from the passage.
What does "A question test is already running." mean? The test is running. Wait for the result.
What does "The test was interrupted. Completed results are saved." mean? Click Test questions and Save and test again.
What does "The source does not fit into 10 analysis parts…" mean? The source is too long for analysis. Split it into several smaller files and add them as separate sources.
What does "The source revision changed. Open the current revision." mean? Someone reprocessed the source in the meantime. Close the window and open the source detail again.
What does "Approval requires at least one included summary." mean? With Save and approve you excluded all findings of the Summary type. Include at least one.
What does "Another user changed this review…" mean? A colleague edited the review at the same time. Refresh the page and make your changes again.
What does "The original video cannot be played right now. Saved source text remains available." mean? The video in the library is not available for playback. The source text and assistant answers are not affected.
What does "This transcript comes from a document without verified times." mean? The transcript was uploaded as a document (e.g. DOCX), not as a recording, so timestamps are not available.
What does "The document exceeds the 2,000-page limit." mean? The document is too long for visual reading. Split it into smaller files.
What does "The document could not be prepared for visual reading. Try uploading it as a PDF." mean? Save the Word document or presentation as PDF and upload it again.
What does "Visual reading was interrupted. Saved pages have been preserved." mean? In the Source detail window, use Actions → Process again. Pages already read are kept.
