Publishing
What publishing is for
Everything you do in the Studio — generating the website, chat edits, text edits — is saved into a draft. Only you and your team members see the draft. Visitors see the website or funnel only once you publish it.
A project is published in parts: the website (all its pages at once) and each funnel separately. You can publish a funnel and keep the website in preparation, or the other way round.
Where to find publishing
- In the left sidebar, click Content → Projects and open the project.
- At the right of the Studio top bar (after the History button, before Close) is the Publish button with an arrow.
| Element | What it does |
|---|---|
| Publish | publishes the part you have open: the open funnel (or one of its steps), otherwise the website |
| Unpublish | shown instead of Publish when the open part is public and no changes are waiting; takes it down. Not shown in the Changes waiting state |
| the arrow next to it | opens an overview of every part of the project with its state and its own button |
What the states in the publishing overview mean
Click the arrow next to Publish. A Website row appears (with the page count — only if the website has at least one page) and, under the heading Funnels, a row for each funnel.
| State | Where | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Published | website and funnel | visitors see the current version |
| Changes waiting | website | the website is public, but the draft has newer changes that visitors do not see yet |
| Not published | website | the website is not public |
| Test mode | funnel | the funnel is not published |
Further notes next to a funnel:
- front door — the funnel stands at the project's address. If it is not published: This funnel stands at the project's own address. While it is in test mode the project cannot be published.
- test mode on a published funnel — The funnel is public, but no payment is taken and nothing reaches the analytics. Turn it off in the funnel’s settings.
How to publish the website
Before you start
- The website has at least one page (Website and pages).
- You have checked the pages in the preview (including Mobile preview) — see Studio editor.
- You have set the SEO and favicon (Project settings and SEO).
- You need the Projects → Edit permission.
- No AI change is running — the buttons are disabled during generation.
Steps
- Open any page of the website.
- At the right of the top bar, click Publish. (Or click the arrow and Publish in the Website row.)
- Published appears.
Publishing through the Website row publishes only the website; funnels stay as they are. The first publish of anything also makes the project itself public.
What if publishing fails
If the website cannot be built, the AI tries to fix it itself. The button shows Fixing… and the message The site could not be published — AI is fixing what is missing… Then:
- Fixed and published — done,
- AI could not fix it — see the problems in the editor — open the pages and fix the problem in the chat.
If the website was published but something did not reach the pages, you see The site is published, but something did not make it onto the pages — a measurement id in the wrong shape, for example. Check the settings.
How to check it worked
- In the publishing overview, Website shows Published.
- Open the project's address in a private window of your browser. You find the address in the project Settings, in the Addresses panel.
- You see the website without the strip Preview — this is not published yet, only you can see it.
How to publish a funnel
- Open the funnel or one of its steps.
- Click Publish. (Or the arrow → the funnel's row → Publish.)
You need the Funnels → Edit permission. If the funnel sells, turn Test mode off in Funnel settings before publishing — otherwise payments are only simulated. Details: Funnels.
How to make new changes public
On a website or funnel that is already published, changes made in the Studio (in the chat, by hand, or by restoring a version in History) reach visitors as soon as they are saved — there is no need to publish again.
The exception are changes made by a connected AI app (for example Claude over MCP). They stay in the draft and the overview shows the website as Changes waiting. Visitors see them only after you click Publish.
How to take a website or funnel down
- Open the website or funnel you want to take down.
- Click Unpublish (or use the arrow and the part's row in the overview).
There is no confirmation. The site is no longer public appears (the same text for a funnel). Taking the website down does not switch off funnels, and vice versa. Nothing is deleted — you can publish again at any time.
A website in the Changes waiting state cannot be taken down — the button and the Website row then offer only Publish. Publish the website first; Unpublish then appears.
What a visitor sees at an unpublished address
If a visitor opens the address of an unpublished website, funnel, or a page added after the last publish, they see the page This page is under construction — We are working on this page right now. Please try again later. The language of this page (Slovak, Czech, English) follows the visitor's browser setting. Search engines do not index it.
An address that does not exist shows Page not found.
While the website is not published, Open in a new tab in the Studio shows a team member the unpublished content too — with the strip Preview — this is not published yet, only you can see it. Being signed in to Doubleros is not enough; you see the draft only through this button. Once the website is published, the button opens the public version, exactly as a visitor sees it. That is why you should check the result in a private window.
What the project's public address is
| Situation | Address |
|---|---|
| no custom domain (or until the domain is verified) | Our address: …/p/<organization-address>/<project-address> |
| with a verified custom domain | https://<your domain> |
| a website page | <project address>/<page address> |
| a funnel step | <project address>/f/<funnel slug>/<step address> |
You see the exact addresses in the project Settings, in the Addresses panel. What opens at the project's own address is set in the Home page card — see Project settings and SEO.
Who can publish
| What you want to do | Permission needed |
|---|---|
| publish and take down the website | Projects → Edit |
| publish and take down a funnel | Funnels → Edit |
Users without the permission also see the Publish button, but publishing is refused (Could not publish).
Common questions and problems with publishing
The Publish button is grey. An AI change or a publish is running, or there is nothing to publish (the project has neither a website page nor a funnel).
"Could not publish". Try again; check that you have the permission.
"The home funnel “…” is not live, so it is not published — the project root would answer 404. Switch it live and publish again." An unpublished funnel stands at the project's address. While it does, the website is not published either (not even through the Website row). Publish that funnel first, or choose another page in Settings → Home page.
I published but I see the old version. Reload the page in your browser; check that the overview does not show Changes waiting.
A customer sees "This page is under construction" but I see the website. You opened the website through Open in a new tab, which shows the draft (the strip Preview — this is not published yet…). The part the customer opens is not published.
A customer cannot see a new website page. The page was added after the last publish. Publish the website again.
